New Training Courses from GEST

New Training Courses from GEST Running for the fourth successful year, Gest are offering their two weekly acting courses starting this February in Chapter Arts Centre. Whether you're completely new to performing or have 'trod the boards' before and want to learn more skills and techniques, these courses offer the very best in training, advice and feedback.

Weekly Acting Course - INTRODUCTION
When: Every Saturday morning, 10am to 12 noon, February 23rd - April 26th 2008 inclusive (10 weeks)
Where: Market House, Chapter Arts Centre, Canton, Cardiff
Cost: £100

If you are over 18 and have always wanted to act, but you're not sure whether you have the talent, or the nerve to give it a go, then this course will probably be exactly what you're looking for. The emphasis is on plenty of practical work, with lots of useable advice, tips and feedback throughout the weeks. We'll work with and without text, help you loose your self-consciousness and awkwardness, build your dramatic awareness and work to uncover your innate creativity. You don't need any previous acting experience, just enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills.

What previous students have said about this course*:

"This course has boosted my confidence immensely. I feel like a different person. Claire is a brilliant mentor and I look forward to the improvers class"

"Opened my mind! A really personable fun approach to acting from scratch. No psychobabble, just lots of down-to-earth advice and wisdom""

"I enjoyed the course and looked forward to it each week. My idea of acting has changed for the better. I understand more about how to act for the better of the scene rather than just making myself look good"
