Blackwood Miners’ Institute are pleased to welcome the LOVE&MADNESS ENSEMBLE on who will be presenting two plays over two evenings on Thursday 19th October & Friday 20th October. This company continue to reach new audiences by presenting classic plays in a modern and accessible way as well as retaining the language and spirit of the originals to satisfy the established theatregoer! Thursday 19th October 7.30pm HENRY V A contemporary dress production of Shakespeare's Henry V, explores the theme of leadership. Why does a man who leads his country to war become a hero? Friday 20th October 7.30pm PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD J.M.Synge's magnificent comedy, Playboy Of The Western World, tackles the phenomenon of celebrity. Why does a man who kills his father become a hero? Tickets cost £8.50 with £7.50 reductions.
