Since graduating with honours in Drama & Theatre Arts from Middlesex
University, Alex has proven to be a versatile and committed drama teacher.
As a theatre director, her credits include works by Howard Barker and a
successful run on both the Edinburgh and the London Fringe. She is
especially skilled at devising and teaching drama and able to build a
rapport, motivating students or actors to add value to the rehearsal
process to provide professional and timely productions. Her experience of
teaching drama includes her most recent roles as Artiste in Residence at
St. Peter’s school, Stagecoach Theatre School and “The Space” at Forest
Arts Centre. Alex is currently in the final stages of completing her PGCE
teaching practice at Coleg Glan Hafren, whilst at Cardiff University.

Artiste in Residence St. Peter’s School
September 2002-August 2003 (1 Year contract) Bournemouth. Dorset
Responsible for leading drama classes with years 9, 10, GCSE pupils 11 and
12 AS/A2 and AVCE. Running drama classes for local link schools from
Reception to year 6. Producing the Community Arts Newsletters as well as
running adult evening classes, half term drama workshops and summer
school.

Theatre in Education tour of Junior and Primary Schools (ages 5-14 yrs)
This included driving, keeping account of expenses, invoicing/taking
payment from schools and workshops that sometimes involved working with
disabled children or children with special needs.

Alex established the first Adult Drama classes at St. Peter’s school as
