| artistic policy | Anna Baker School of Drama is a bi-lingual school and runs classes in Drama, Dancing and Gospel Choir. We now offer classes in Musical Theatre, POP Academy and HIP HOP. Classes are aimed at 5 to 19 year olds. We operate during term time and work more as a training school rather than amdram. We produce one show per year and normally perform in Theatr Gwynedd, Bangor. Students taking drama classes will have the opportunnity to take London Academy School of Music and Dramatic Art Examinations once a year. Classes are held in Capel Mawr, Menai Bridge, Anglesey on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. |
| other notes | Feb 18 2006: Anna Baker School of Drama and Performing Arts are delighted to be finalists in this years Young Musical Theatre Singers competition. 25 young singers from Anna Baker School of Drama and Performing Arts will take to the stage with their heart stopping, foot stomping version of 'Circle of Life' from Lion King on Saturday 25 March 2006 at The Rhyl Pavilion Theatre. "We are delighted to have got through this year, the students have worked so hard, they deserve this opportunity and I am so very proud of them all" Anna Baker Anna Baker School of Drama and Performing Arts opened in Menai Bridge in 2001 and now has over 200 members. The school was originally a drama school but the need and desire to perform musical theatre soon created the demand for classes in this area of the arts. You can now take LAMDA examinations in Drama and as from September 2006, examinations will also be available in Guildhall and Trinity board in Musical Theatre. |
